About me

I am an early years professional with 30 years experience  in the early years working mostly in nurseries and pre-schools. Having my own home-based childminder service is a dream come true. I am looking forward to having lots of fun learning adventures with the children in my care!

I am truly passionate about the well-being of children. I enjoy having positive interactions with them and teaching them something new. I enjoy listening to and observing children as they play, hearing them laugh and building trusting relationships with them and their parents.

As a keen cook, I love seeing children enjoy healthy, nutritional food. Cooking and the enjoyment of food is one of my passions so expect your child to be given lots of opportunities to learn and explore foods and to be hands-on with fruit and vegetables. My intention is to instil a love of healthy eating for life!

I am a friendly and trustworthy person. I love co-exploring with children, which is easy to do in Crosspool as I have an abundance of local green spaces nearby.

Location

I live in Crosspool which is close proximity to Lydgate Park, Sheffield Botanical gardens, Weston park and Rivelin Valley, just to name a few. I feel blessed to live so close to so many green open spaces

We are walking distance to:

  • Broomhill Library
  • The Crosspool Owl
  • Western Park Museum
  • Local Crosspool shops

No doubt the Crosspool owl, the tawny owl that lives in an Ash tree closeby, will be a regular bird-spotting outing for the children to encourage a curiosity and wonderment in the nature all around us.

I am conveniently situated close to 2 Sheffield hospitals: Hallamshire & the Children’s Hospital. Sheffield University is also close by.

The local school/s I drop off and pick-up from are: Lydgate pre-school, primary and junior.
