Course Delivery and Support
Our Start a Childminder Early Education training is delivered as high-quality blended learning training, a mixture of face2face classroom and online training.
We value dynamic classroom training as a good networking opportunity for prospective childminders to come together to learn new skills and knowledge, as well as sharing ideas and experience. Therefore, we have prioritised topics such as safeguarding children for classroom delivery, whilst other modules such as the new EYFS learning and development requirements, are delivered as live online training.
The difference is that our classroom training can be accessed as lived streamed. So, if you live further away can also participate in the same live classroom session via an online broadcast. Whilst, people who live within reasonable travelling distance, you can actually attend the classroom training in person at our premises in Nottingham to gain the benefits of real face-2-face learning in small groups.
It’s the best of both worlds because all guests will experience the enhanced shared learning of face-2-face classroom training, as well as physical and virtual networking opportunities from being together as a group.
Our tutors are Early Years Professionals and senior leaders with extensive occupation experience in the sector including childminding.
All learners are issued with certificates on successful completion of the training and handout/resources are also provided.

You will need:
- Have good levels of English and Maths
- Aged 18 and over (the age of 18 – 21 is preferable for childminder assistants)
- Be available to attend all the different days/times of the training, including live webinars, that makes up our training
