About me
I am a warm and calm childminder with a real passion for early years. Trained in First Aid, Safeguarding, and the EYFS, I provide registered, home-from-home setting focused on care, creativity, and emotional well-being. Kindness, patience, and inclusion are at the heart of everything I do, and I believe in nurturing each child’s unique personality and confidence. I love creating a safe, homely space where children can grow and thrive. With smaller groups, I’m able to give each child the attention they deserve, offering gentle, personalised care with a focus on emotional connection. My setting includes flexible hours, lots of outdoor play, creative activities, and strong parent communication to ensure every child feels secure, valued, and supported.

About my home setting
All @Home Childcare childminder settings are fully risk-assessed and inspected to ensure they are safe and suitable premises for children.
My setting offers a warm, welcoming environment with a range of dedicated spaces designed to support children’s learning, creativity, and wellbeing. A bright, spacious conservatory is used as the main playroom, filled with organised, age-appropriate toys that encourage learning and development. There’s also a cosy corner where children can relax, read a book, or cuddle up with a teddy and blanket. The large kitchen is perfect for preparing healthy, balanced meals, and gives children the chance to get involved in cooking activities and learn basic kitchen skills. The adjoining dining room doubles as an arts and crafts area, where children can express their creativity through drawing, painting, and messy play. A convenient downstairs toilet is used for nappy changes and supports toilet training as needed. Outdoors, the garden is equipped with a mud kitchen, water table, seesaw, swings, slide, and trampoline – encouraging active play and exploration. There’s also a designated area for planting, where children can grow their own vegetables and learn about nature hands-on.

Activities
All @Home Childcare childminders follow the EYFS to ensure every child’s learning and develoment is supported, as well as get to know each child on an individual basis and tailor activities to their needs.
- Daily Mindfulness Moments – We take little mindful pauses throughout the day—breathing together, listening to soft music, or watching clouds—to help children develop emotional awareness and calm.
- Real-Life Learning – From planting seeds to baking muffins, feeding birds to sweeping leaves—we embrace real, hands-on learning that builds life skills and responsibility.
- Big Feelings Welcome – Children have big emotions, and I make space for all of them. My calm corner gives little ones a soft place to unwind, reset, or just cuddle a teddy and breathe.
- Open-Door Communication – I’m always available for a quick chat, update, or deeper conversation. Your concerns are my concerns—and we work as a team.
- Flexible, Family-Friendly Approach – I understand family life isn’t always 9–5. I offer flexible hours (where possible) to support working parents with real-life needs.
- Personalised Scrapbooks – Each child has their own scrapbook or memory folder filled with photos, art, and special milestones—a keepsake parents can treasure forever.
Cultural Curiosity – I introduce children to different festivals, foods, languages, and traditions from around the world to spark curiosity, inclusivity, and open-mindedness from an early age.
Celebrating the Little Wins – Whether it’s trying a new food, putting on their own coat, or saying a kind word, we celebrate progress with encouragement, not pressure.
Eco-Friendly Ethos – We talk about recycling, reuse, and nature care in everyday ways. Crafts often use recycled materials, and we’re mindful of reducing waste.
Child Voice Matters – Even the littlest ones have opinions! I give children choices in their day—what story to read, what colour to paint with, which toy to play with—helping them build confidence and independence.

As a newly registered childcare provider, she may still be in the early stages of her quality and safety checks process. Initial visits focus on supporting new providers and checking that required standards are in place. These visits do not result in a quality grade.
A quality grade is awarded following a full inspection, which usually takes place around 10 to 14 months after registration.
