Bright Beginnings Childminding

Childminder in Nafferton, Driffield (YO25)

About me

My name is Donna and I am a registered childminder in the beautiful village of Nafferton, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. I have a wonderful daughter who attends primary school.

My love for working with children started at the age of 16, I worked for two amazing Nurseries in North Yorkshire for 3 years. My career path then took me in a different direction into Retail Management initially, and then I had a very successful career in Banking, Finance and Regulated Mortgages for over 15 years. I become a mother during the Covid Pandemic in 2020 and that is where my journey to working with children ignited once again.

In 2021 when my daughter was just 18 months old I moved to the East Riding and set up Diddy Dots Yorkshire. I ran Baby Sensory classes, Messy Play Classes, the After School Club at Hutton Cranswick Community Primary and set up Soft Play and Messy Play parties all over the East Riding of Yorkshire. I sold the business in 2023.

When creating Bright Beginnings Childminding, I was very clear in my vision. I wanted to create a space where all children felt they belonged – a place where they felt it was made just for them. A place filled with calm and cosy spaces, curious and engaging toys based on what the children love and to spark curiosity in learning adventures they were yet to have. Here you’ll find twinkly lights, soft textures, quiet corners for stories, treasure baskets, set ups made with your child 100% in mind and a place deeply connected to nature and the beautiful world around us.
