About me
I’m a qualified childminder with a degree in Children and Play Work, 8 years experience as a private nanny and 4 years experience running a successful messy play group. I’m also a mother of two young children.
As well as following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), I have worked hard on gentle parenting and providing child led play opportunities. My setting will offer and provide a calm, relaxed home-from-home environment filled with lots of play opportunities and adventures inspired by the Montessori method of education.
We’re based in a lovely, rural location. I love taking children outdoors, think walks by the river for ‘pretend fishing’, woodland adventures, exploring local parks, and much more. I’m an advocate of ‘risky play’, where children are trusted to know their own boundaries. I’ll give them the freedom to explore and try new things, whilst always being on standby to encourage or assist when needed.
