Doodle Noodle Daycare
Childminder in Strensall, York (YO32)
About me
I have experience teaching in the early years, specialising in reading and supporting the development of fundamental literacy skills, fluency, and comprehension.
I also have a degree in education with a focus on special education, and over six years’ experience providing one-to-one support for children with Autism, ADHD, and other needs.
My welcoming, home-from-home setting in Strensall (YO32) is the ideal space for children to learn and explore, with smaller numbers meaning I can provide a more personal level of care and education based on each child’s needs. I also offer flexible hours and funded places for eligible children.

About my home setting
All @Home Childcare childminder settings are fully risk-assessed and inspected to ensure they are safe and suitable premises for children.
I have organised my home to reflect the different areas of child development:
An area for dramatic play, including a cafe and kitchen, where children can develop social and emotional skills and language.
A library corner where children can develop early literacy skills and a love for reading. This area is also used for daily circle time to learn about the days of the week, months, weather, and more.
Blocks and magnets to help develop fine motor skills and early problem-solving abilities.
Musical instruments for children to freely explore, express themselves, and develop a love for music.
Exploration of numbers and letters to promote curiosity, hands-on learning, and early math and reading skills.
An art area providing a space for creativity and self-expression.
A calm down basket offering a safe space for children to regulate emotions and develop self-regulation tools.
A safe outdoor space where children can explore, learn, and have fun in nature.
