If you like helping people, enjoy staying organised, and are good at following things through, this could be a great fit.

We’re Orange Moon Training and @Home Childcare. One side delivers training and qualifications in early years, education and residential care. The other helps people become registered childminders and support families to access childcare.

Together, we train, support and champion the professionals who give children the best start in life.

We receive enquiries from employers, apprentices, learners, childminders and parents, and you’ll be the first person many of them speak to.

But this role is about more than answering enquiries. You’ll help people take the next steps, whether that’s a parent wanting to enrol their child with one of our registered childminders, an employer looking to enrol an apprentice or someone signing up for a qualification.

You’ll guide them through the process, follow up on outstanding information and help make sure enrolments are completed smoothly.

What the job involves:

This is a busy, office-based role at our Nottingham office, full time (Monday to Friday). There’s structure to the job, but plenty of variety too. You’ll be speaking to different people, managing enquiries and helping them progress through to enrolment.

We’ll support you as you learn the ropes, but you’ll also be expected to use your initiative, take responsibility and keep things moving.

  • Respond to enquiries by phone, email and through our website
  • Speak to prospective learners and employers about our training programmes, qualifications and apprenticeships
  • Help employers and learners through the enrolment and onboarding process
  • Support parents enrolling their children with our registered childminders
  • Support our registered childminders with their enquiries, particularly helping them with parents’ childcare enrolments and related queries.
  • Explain our services clearly and help people understand their next steps
  • Follow up enquiries, applications and outstanding paperwork to ensure nothing gets missed
  • Keep accurate records and update information on our CRM and other systems
  • Build positive relationships with employers, learners, parents and colleagues
  • Work closely with our teams to ensure enrolments are completed efficiently
  • Help us achieve our enrolment and engagement targets

You’ll suit this role if you:

You don’t need experience in training or childcare, as we’ll teach you what you need to know. Experience in customer service, administration, enrolments or a similar role would be helpful.

What matters most is your attitude, communication skills and ability to get things done.

  • Enjoy speaking to people and building positive relationships
  • Feel confident picking up the phone and having conversations with new people
  • Can explain information clearly and write professional, friendly emails
  • Are organised, accurate and good at keeping track of several tasks
  • Are comfortable using computers, systems and keeping records up to date
  • Enjoy working towards goals and seeing enquiries turn into successful enrolments
  • Are reliable, proactive and willing to learn
  • Have the initiative to follow things up rather than waiting to be asked
  • Like working as part of a friendly, supportive office team

What you’ll get:

  • A structured, full-time office role in Nottingham with clear responsibilities
  • A friendly, supportive team who’ll help you settle in
  • A routine that gives you structure without feeling stuck
  • Training and guidance to help you develop your skills
  • Free eye test
  • A varied role where you’ll speak to lots of different people
  • The satisfaction of helping people access training, apprenticeships and childcare services
  • 33 days paid holidays, with the option to buy more, and your birthday off as a paid holiday
  • Extensive CPD & qualification opportunities
