I became a fully registered childminder and set up North Star Childminding in Blidworth in order to provide a small, safe home from home setting for your little ones.

We love to get out and about to parks, the woods and nature walks, as well as visiting the local library, play groups and forest school. My house has a playroom which opens onto the garden, giving us lots of opportunity to combine indoor and outdoor play. The children also have access to the lounge and an extra play space in the dining room for lots of messy play! We also have a big love of reading, and have a lot of story based play, as well as plenty of “silly singing”!

It is very much a relaxed, child-friendly environment, I have three daughters, as well as our old (safe and friendly!) dog Dylan and two cats ( Hey Duggee and Mrs Pepper Pot!)

I believe that resilient children make for resilient adults and at North Star we will have a focus on emotional and social development to help build up children’s confidence and independence.
