Paediatric first aid training for childcare professionals
Our 12 hours Paediatric First Aid training meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage!
The course is blended learning - a combination of practical classroom and online e-learning consisting of the following:
- Part 1: 6 hours of online video-based learning covering essential first aid and health & safety knowledge.
- Part 2: 6 hours (minimum) of classroom training dealing with emergency life-saving skills such as resuscitation and anaphylactic shock.
The experienced and qualified trainer is approved by the Health & Safety Executive.
Delivery methods include practical ‘hands on’ demonstrations, DVDs, booklet/handouts and oral questioning.
Learners receive a nationally recognised certificate valid for 3 years and resources, such as practical videos, are available online for you to access up to 8 months.
The training can be used to register as a childminder and provides knowledge about administering first aid, including emergency first aid, in their early years childcare settings.
Course dates and cost:
Part 2, the classroom training, is held on Saturdays at 9.30am – 4.30pm and the price is £85.
