About me
Hi! I’m Michelle, an registered childminder and the owner of Perky Tots. Our aim is to offer a warm, home-from-home environment where children can enjoy the fun of learning through play. From babies as young as 6 weeks right up to school age, we support every milestone and help children develop key skills in personal and social growth, speech and language, creativity, and self-expression.
With smaller group sizes, we provide individual attention and cater to each child’s needs. We also value strong, friendly relationships with parents, working together to ensure your little one gets the best possible start.

Registered childcare for families based in Ranskill, Retford, Worksop, Mattersey, Blyth and the surrounding areas.
We’re located in the rural village of Ranskill with lots of access to open spaces, lovely country walks and a village playpark with Clumber Park nearby.

About my home setting
All @Home Childcare childminder settings are fully risk-assessed and inspected to ensure they are safe and suitable premises for children.

- We generally ask parents to provide packed lunches

Activities
All @Home Childcare childminders follow the EYFS to ensure every child’s learning and develoment is supported, as well as get to know each child on an individual basis and tailor activities to their needs. Examples include:
- Nature walks, trips and outings
- Reading & cosy corner
- Singing & dancing
- Arts and crafts
- Tuff tray and messy play
- Fine motor skills (lego, etc)
- Role play (shop keeping, kitchen)
- Numbers and counting
Inspection Reports
Perky Tots registered in 2025. Their first inspection will take place one year after registration.
