Work as an After School Nanny
After school childcare work is great for students who already have experience of working with children, and would like part-time hours to fit in with your studies.
Looking for part-time work to fit in with other commitments?
Working as a home childcarer is ideal work if you are looking for a job where you can make a positive difference, and you already have experience working with children.
Home-based after school childcare is a popular solution for busy families in need of reliable childcare to fit in with their working hours. Parents value the important work you do following their home routine of walking home from school, preparing light meals and organising fun activities, as well as assisting with homework or reading. It’s a flexible childcare solution that is loved by parents and children alike.

We guide you through the family matching process and provide on-going support once registered.

It is important to us that you have the right training and support to work with children!
Our induction training and on-going courses exceeds the minimum standards required by Ofsted. Our expert training ensures you are equipped to provide safe, fun childcare for children in their own homes.
As we are an Ofsted registered childcare agency, we are used to supporting workers in a home-based environment. It is second nature to us because Ofsted inspects and gives us a quality judgement for registering, supporting, training and inspecting our registered childminders. We were rated Effective in areas in our recent 2020 Ofsted inspection.

Home Childcarer instead of Nanny
We prefer to use the term the government uses, home childcarer, instead of nanny because it is more inclusive term. There are many misconceptions about nannies. For example, it is often assumed it is expensive and only used by affluent families. This is far from true as many families from all income brackets, use home childcare because it suits their needs. Shift workers and children with special educational and disability needs is a good example of this.
Join us to benefit from reciprocal matching to families, on-going support from mentors, good rates of pay and flexible hours that fits in with your other commitments.
We welcome applications from suitable people with relevant experience of working with children. If you are a student, we have specific information about our part-time childcare work for students.
